  • Nova 2 Lite
  • Nova 2 Pro

English summary

Uniopen, the Taiwan-based retail platform of Uni-President Enterprises Group, successfully adapted Amazon Nova 2 Lite for its business-specific content moderation using supervised fine-tuning on Amazon SageMaker AI. Their policy requires the model to correctly classify one of nine behaviors and one of three subjects (brand, other, or forbidden) across web, tablet, and mobile channels.

By fine-tuning Nova 2 Lite with LoRA on 3,391 conversation windows and applying a lightweight prompt optimization, the team lifted Per Behavior Macro F1 from 0.5852 to 0.8550 and Subject Type Macro F1 from 0.4162 to 0.8491—both exceeding production targets. The repeatable AWS workflow separates routine moderation from human-verified correction data, keeps everything in controlled containers, and uses hard/soft gates for safe promotion.

This case shows how domain-specific evaluation and targeted customization let retail teams move from generic models to production-grade AI moderation without full retraining. The same pattern applies to any business with clear, evolving policies.
